I love tea, and I'm looking to try new kinds. What are some good kinds, and where can I get them (store, online, etc)? I live in America so storewise my best bets are grocery stores and maybe some specialty shops. I've been looking around online, but I'm not sure what to try.

i love tea and look at tea selections at major retail stores. I've found that the best selection is at some grocers, Whole Foods Market, Cost Plus Marketplace.

worst selection is walmart and target. Expectedly so.

brands I stick to are Tazo and Celestial Seasonings.

If you are more into loose leaf teas, I've heard good things about www.adagio.com

kinds I like are green teas, white teas, and chai teas.

Try this- take 4 bags of lipton and put them in the coffee pot (where the coffeegoes)then take 2 heaping tbsp of instant tea and put it in the coffee pot to dissolve as the other tea is brewing. while this is going on take 1 cup sugar (more if you like really sweet tea-this is kind of an in between recipe) and put it in a gallon container. Then pour your brew into the container. Next rinse your pot(i dothis to keep the water bin clean) then fill your appliance again to brew using the same 4 bags as before. when done add water to top off the gallon. ps soft water makes tea look and taste better. If that doesnt suit your fancy then try the Fresh market. those stores are usually available in most large areas like cincinatti or naples, and they have excellent gourmet tea.

ha, I'm in the same boat, I was given some tea from a family member and tried it, wow, really nice. It was just last week, and it has already replaced my morning coffee and I like to drink a cup at night.

Sorry, I'm a newbie too and don't have any info, except for the tea I have is called: Golden Ceylon Cafe Tea (I think Cafe Tea is the name brand and the Golden Ceylon is the type of tea). It's really really good.

Thanks for asking the question!

Some of the old standbys are Constant Comment (kind of an orange flavor, intensified by sweetener) Earl Grey, an aromatic, almost flowery, full flavored tea; Celestial Seasonings makes a bunch of really good herb teas, including Sleepytime and the "Zingers". TAZO makes some wonderful blends, too; I'm particularly fond of "Passion", which has hibiscus and passion flower. Mmmmm :)

Tazo Teas are amazing and come in a variety of blends.
My favorite herbal tea is African Red Bush which is orange-ish and fruity it pairs well with apples. My favorite green tea is Om, which is an organic green tea that is wet and not too acidic. My favorite black tea is Awake, which is just a non-perfumed black tea, very basic.
You can find these at Whole Foods, or any Starbucks in the area.

How much are you prepared to spend. One of the best makes of tea is French: Mariage Freres

You can buy small amounts of it in bulk from a shop in Dallas called the Cultured Cup.
I only use loose tea

Click on the name of the tea for a description

I like brands such as "Republic of Tea" and "Harney & Sons." Both can be found onlin, in decent grocery stores, and always in gourmet-type grocery stores. I've never seen either one at Walmart!
