You wont get insured unless you have a valid drivers license. You need your license first then you can get insurance. They wont insure someone without a drivers license lol.

Well, in just about every state - when you purchase a car - you have to have some proof of insurance before you walk drive off the lot....additionally, you have to show that you are insurable when you get your license - the idea being why would you want license to 'drive' without something to drive - and if you have something to drive - then it better have some insurance. Get it? I still don't....but I do understand. If you're 17, you probably need to allow your parents to sign you up - and believe me their insurance will INCREASE because they don't have a lot of faith in drivers 17-30. (men) It does go down for women - supposedly, we're the better drivers for safety and percautions - men take more chances - racing, etc. Good luck.

No you do not have to have car insurance to get your license but I'm fairly sure you have to have a license to get car insurance.

Normally you will get your license first, and then insurance. Any other way is *** backwards...and is usually the way I do things. So be a trend setter.......swim against the current. lol
