He is absolutely precious! :o) We were wondering, at what age do the tails on them curl, he looks like it is starting to curl, but we are curious to know at what age the tail completely curls up. Both the the parents are full bred and we saw them on site. (Very loving family...not a puppy mill, btw...and YES, we are going to get him fixed when he is old enough). Thanks for all your help! :o)

His tail should have curled already. But that's ok...there is so much more to love about a pug than his little pig-tail! Be sure to take him to the vet for a good check up, pugs are prone to alot of health problems. Check out some great websites for full pug info, there's alot to learn about your new baby. www.pugs.com or www.pugnation.com
What did you name him? We have a 2 year old named Pugsley!

Don 't worry about the tail of the pug. they usually start curling up at about 3 months. As they grow the tail will get heavier and they will learn to hold it on there own. You can also train it...Thats right!! take the tail and wrap it around the index finger in a spiral manner. The curling is caused when the skin draws tight around the tail bone. This gives it the curling effect.. You can also pinch the tail at the base and hold it up at a 90 degree angle. training the dog to hold his tail up will help it curl faster. This information comes from an AKC owner who has Pugs in dog shows. just remember, with their tails, they will curl naturally over time. like I said, after about three months you should start seeing the change.

lol I love how you covered everything that you thought people would yell about lol.. give it time. I had a Shih Tzu that took forever for its tail to curl. If you seen both parents then your puppy will have a curl tail. Some just take a while to do their job. Like my little Shih Tzu.. I kept saying curl curl when you going to curl your tail and one day it just went poof lol. Just give it time. And good luck to your new addition and once again nice covering your question lol

It all depends on the dog there is really no set age. On average the age is around 2 months.
This is kinda like the milestone of when a baby will walk, every baby is different therefore there is not a right or wrong time.

They don't just curl, you have to curl them with a curling iron every morning

if its hasnt yet it aint gonna curl, you just have a dog with a poor tail set, thats why pet quality are pet and show quality are show
because 99.9% of purebred dogs are imperfect, and thats why he is special
