In a perfect world it would be great. The Office of Border Patrol in Washington D.C. will not allow their people to pick up illegals from them. Border Patrol Agents have been ordered to report the minutemen and their location when they are seen. Chief Aguilar does not want to piss off his boss in the big white house. Aguilar does not want the agents to do their jobs either. He is seeking termination on agents for pursuing illegals, and agents for not pursuing the illegals, The Border Patrol Agents are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

this is comical rather. State rules on the subject of who could make arrests while and for what varies, and that i'm undecided what federal regulation says on it (immigration violations are federal violations, no longer state). i be attentive to in Texas a guy or woman must be committing a legal. this is #a million. on the grounds that unlawful presence isn't a legal, that does no longer be a situation the place a citizen could make an arrest i do no longer think of. And a guy or woman can no longer anticipate the immigrant entered illegally because of the fact some people overstay visas. as nicely, besides the fact that if we assumed everybody entered illegally, a federal legal, we will not bypass arresting people for felonies that are no longer in progression. Off-duty cops merely approximately never mess with that, so why ought to voters? right this is the different subject. there is not any requirement for any unlawful alien, or somebody for that matter, to discover themselves to a distinctive guy or woman in circumstances the place somebody is finding to make a citizen's arrest. in certainty, in many circumstances a police officer can not walk as much as somebody and demand identity. besides, interior of sight and state police can not enforce immigration rules. So how can a private citizen be advantageous somebody is against the regulation with a view to arrest them? ultimately, making citizen's arrests might nicely be crammed with legal duty. If somebody fights the arrest, after which you employ severe tension, your over. YOU bypass to detention center. some might combat because of the fact they don't be attentive to who you're. If somebody includes me attempting to make a citizen's arrest for no sturdy reason, they might have a severe project. people don't comprehend legal duty, and the region it performs, while they bypass and attempt to detain somebody. in case you screw it up, in elementary terms a splash, you will possibly nicely be charged with a legal.

I think it is a good idea. However, even when law enforcement has illegals in custody, INS or ICE won't come get them. My dad is a judge in a small municipality in OK City. He had several illegals in court, had the clerk call the local INS office. They did not care.
So, just because one of the minutemen makes a citizen arrest, if INS or ICE won't come get the illegal...then what?
But, I am all for the minutemen being down there.

I think it's a great idea, but I have a better one. Instad of doing a citizens arrest, they should do a citizens throw-back. By this I man, throw 'em back over the border, and shoot unil they run away!

Well, it's not a shoot on sight directive of the placement of land mines, but it's a start!! We need another cheap exploitable laborer to take funds out of our system like we need a hole in the head!! The mass immigration we saw in the late 1800's was enough to get this country started, time to close up shop and get on with the policies that create upward mobility for American born, from American parent citizenry.

Arresting them is one thing. having a detention facility and prosecuting them is something else. Unfortunately, our government does none of the above.
I wonder if they built a private detention facility, like the privately run prisons, if they could go the next step?
I'm all for immigration by people looking for a better life, but it should be LEGAL. BTW, we take in millions of unskilled people who require most of the government services and turn away highly educated and skilled workers because the quota for legal immirants is filled. How stupid is that?

They're true American patriotic heroes. I'd go a step further. Deputize them, give them pistols and assault rifles, make them immune from prosecution on matters involving people who violate our border laws, and let the bodies hit the floor.

If I lived in a border state I'd be right there with them! But our government has gotten so politically correct it is kind of scary. There is no common sense left when political correctness takes over.
