Can someone please let me know what things people do that cause dark circles under their eyes? Ive heard of undersleeping, oversleeping, lack of moisturizer...are these true? Also I heard rubbing your eyes causes dark circles, is this true as well?

Causes of dark circles under your eyes are-
1. Hereditary-inherited trait, runs in families.
2. Cold, nasal congestion and sinus infection.
3. chronic eczema under the eyes and Allergies.
4. Medications-such as those that cause blood vessels
to dilate, can cause under eye circles to appear darker.
5 Not eating a variety of healthy foods can lead to
nutrient deficiencies.
6. Ageing
7 Undersleeping and lack of moisturizer can also contribute
to some extent.

Lack of sleep, stress, prolonged depression, and insufficient vitamins can all contribute to the dark circles. Lack of moisturizer and rubbing don't cause these, I don't think.

my dark circles are from an iron deficiency so I'm told. 1 Dr. told me the skin under my eyes is so thin that the discoloration is caused by the blood under the skin. that isn't what it looks like to me. it looks a bit like a bruise.

I sport the "Evil eyes" look myself. Evil Eyes is what my buddies call it because my eyes are engulfed in dark circles. Mine are from improper sleeping habits.
