Does he really like me?

Hey guys i really like this guy, and I'm not sure if he likes me. Here's the story. When i was in fifth grade he came to school and eeeeeeeeveryone had a crush on him. The popular girls were my friends, but I never really liked him. They did. Then my first dance came up and to my surprise he asked me in front of the whole entire class. I was kinda surprised for i had no Idea that he liked me, i mean, the only 'Stimulating' conversation i had with him is When we were fighting over a (ruler was it?) I was so young i drew all over him and he finally said sorry because he spilled crayola all over my shirt. He hugged me but my teacher made him do it i didnt know it meant anything!
SO anyways, I said ok to the dance and we didnt slow dance or anything but we danced a lot in the middle of the stage. My 'friends' were so upset that he didnt ask them, the next day at school they totally ignored me, should i have said no? I mean i didnt want to hurt his feelings.

So anyways in the 6th grade, he asked me again and by then I made new friends. I liked him a little more so DUH i said yes. So i went with him but we didnt slow dance, we just talked the whole time, well, before he won the dance competition. So afterwards i heard a rumor through my friends, saying he asked me because he made a $50 bet with his dad to slow dance with me. So i kinda talked to the school bully, (who is his best friend and actually also my best friend)), and he told me it was true, so i said ok,thanx, not sure whethr to beleive him or not, until i eavesdropped on a conversation that the guy was talking to his friends and i overheard him say it was true, so i was like whatever. In the 7nth grade he changed schools and he texts me often and we talk on the phone and aim, but im not so sure, i overheard another rumor saying he liked my best friend, So now im in the eight grade with a new do' and im going to see him at an event, i really like him so gimme tips 2 impress him!

Because i really like him now and he wants me 2 send him a pitcure of me 4 some reason! SO please gimme tips cuz i can stop thinkin bout him!

By the way in 2 months ill be in 9th grade if u wanted 2 know my age.

I KNOW this is a long question but can you pleeeeassssssssssseeeeeeeee answer it?

you're friends are upset because they're jealous of you. they're being really mean about it if they are ignoring you. they should be supporting you, afterall, you like him, and he likes you. the right answer was to say "yes" to the dance, no matter how bad you think it ruined your relationship with your friends. they`re jealous, and it was not your fault.

why should they be mad at you? was it YOUR fault that the guy came up to you, and likes you? its not like you forced him to like you -- it's by his own free will.

i think it's cute, you`re story. i say, go for him. and if these "friends" continue to ignore you, or attack you for accepting a guys' liking, have a talk with them or if they still ignore you, choose a different crowd -- you`re better than that. you deserve friends that support you, and not friends that choose to ignore you because you like a guy.

wait, darn, lol, you editted your question. okay. so it was a "bet" for the slow dance? then, now i`d suggest. just watch out for him. don't listen to rumors, get FACTS. ask him yourself. and don't fall for crap and lies though. oy, gosh, sorry this part of my advice sucks, just that, you're adding more details so confused me now.
