It's not rude, but a little inconsiderate. However, you have to realize that someone might not be doing it on purpose. If you invited someone during the week and they did not get back to you until Friday; they may have had a busy week or was unsure of what was going on for their weekend.

A. Perhaps she didn't know until Friday whether she could make accept your invitation.
B. Perhaps she was waiting for a better offer and didn't get one by Friday.

Yes it is rude. Apparently she was waiting for a better offer. If she had explained that she didn't want to commit at the time you extended the offer, you could have made other arrangements for your weekend.

I think it's rude to wait that long; it's as though they're waiting for something better to come along, but if it doesn't they'll take your offer. Nobody likes to feel like the least-desirable option.

if you were just asking her to hang out, not a specific event where you needed to rsvp, then whats the big deal? if you had already assumed she wasnt keen and made other plans you could have just told her that and then its bad luck for her.. but i dont think you had anything else going on.

At times, it can be considered rude just because it might be inconvenient. But for this situation, I don't think so.

Depends on why she took so long. It may have taken her that long to run through all of the other options and finally resign herself to you.
