Wow I am on the exact same regimen as you are! haha. In the beginning, the Duac gel caused my face to become red and dry but since I've been using it for over a month already it's not like that anymore. The Differin never caused my face to peel or anything. And for me personally, the minocylcine doesn't work because my body has already built up an immunity to it from previously using it. However, the topical treatments seem to be working for me. I've actually noticed my acne scars fading and I am definitley getting less pimples on my face than before. With Differin however your face gets worse before it gets better since it purges all of the pimples that haven't come to the surface yet. But if you can stand getting through a week or two of that you'll notice clearer skin afterwards. Goodluck!

My sister and I used Minocycline as well as Differin, and were very dissapointed with the results. Dermatologists seem to always recommend those two together to their patients. HOWEVER, we asked for an oral medication-AMPICILLIN. Not many people use it, but what it does is kill bacteria under the skin layer. I have used it patiently and am now seeing amazing results. It is gradual, but you dont have to mess with skin irritation, dryness, peeling, etc. ESPECIALLY if you have dry skin like my sister and I. IT has been 3 months, and it is almost completely gone. I take it twice a day. Morning & night.
P.S- I highly recommend it, and remember to not stress about it because stress will cause your acne to worsen!

if your skin is really irratating you talk to your doctor. He'll tell you to down the dosage or give you something else. I've had minocycline and used them for only 10 days like perscribed but they didn't seem to work at all for me. I heard for those pills it takes being on them 2 months for them to work and then it does miracles. It is going to take about 2 months to see a total difference so you'll have to wait and see if it works by then. It takes some time.

I haven't personally taken any of those but ProActiv really works! Should totally try it. If you continue to use what you are using you can try applying a 1. little bit of olive oil on your face rinse that off, 2. an oatmeal mask for 10 minutes rinse that offand then 3. steaming your face over hot water for 10 minutes really works for dry skin. Once or twice a week should work. It takes a little bit of work but it's worth it!
1/2 oatmeal dry
3 tbs. honey
1 egg yolk
Mix together.
