Rolling Stones lyrics.
There is one serious error in the lyrics of that song...not that I really expected "the Rolling stones" to be scripturally correct....
It's where it accuses Christ of doubting...He never did.
He was reciting a Psalm of David (psalm 22) that spoke of Him long before His suffering
Psa 22:1 To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
and also
Joh 11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
By the way, later in the song's lyrics he reveals his name as "lucifer". and he leaves out his current and most enduring job as the head of his synagogue in Rome...did you really think a real Christian would murder almost 100 million and cover up (more recently) the molesting of it's own parishioners by it's "holy men"??? Didn't think so.

Oh, I got'cha figured out. The dumbest thing you ever did was taking Christ to the Cross, for all you did was Multiply His Power by the Millions.
Your not smart enough to come up with an original idea of your own, all you can do is create cheap, perverted imitations of Gods original creation.
Those who don't know Christ may be intimidated by you, but to those of us who are in Christ, your just something to scrape off my shoe.

That song, and "You can't always get what you want." are the two best songs ever made, and are both spiritually accurate.
"My favorite flavor, cherry red,...... her blood stained hands....") and then the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir rising in the back....I wish THE STONES COULD HAVE PLAYED THAT SONG AT THE SUPERBOWL.
