I'm not smelling my toenails (you freaks) I'm currently in school obtaining my nail tech license and my teacher did not have an answer for this question but I ran across the problem on 2 different clients while giving a pedicure

Use athletes foot spray on your toes and feet every day or two to kill fungus and keep your feet from smelling. It's around $1-2 per can.

Fungus typically grows underneath, on, or around toenails. They don't get much air and are kept in a dark moist environment (shoes and socks). If this sort of "cheese" smell knocks your socks off (no pun intended) you may be interested in checking out your belly button.

it is fungus, bacteria, or yeast.......soak feet in listerine, use vicks vapor rub on them daily, twice if possible, or you can use 1 part bleach to like 100 parts water to help kill which ever it is.......thoose are just a few ideas to keep you from having to take some medication that may affect liver function!!!!!!!

the germs that cause smell are underneath the nail, when u cut em off, the smell's let loose.

I have never had that problem before..nor heard of it. But I am guessing bacteria. Pedicures are wonderful. (Even for guys!)

bacteria is caked in between the nail and the skin. sweat comes through the pore, gets stuck and bacteria swells around it.

sounds like a fungal infection, are they really hard and difficult to cut? or are they thick and spongy, if so chances are you have a fungus infection. I would go see your doctor
