I have heard people say this medication decreased their appetite and resulted in weight loss. The literature says it might cause weight gain. I am probably 15-20 pounts overweight, but taking it for depression.
IN YOUR EXPERIENCE (this means, that you've taken the drug for more than 5 consecutive weeks) did you gain or lose weight?

Same, same, same...Weight gain for me too. You have to look at the main effects though. Is it working for you? Are you feeling better? If you're not depressed while taking it, it's definitely worth it! :D Good luck!

I have been on Cymbalta for yrs, It's a very good medicine! It did help. But I had to switch for Insurance reasons or I would still be on it. I however though did gain weight from it also. But sometimes you gotta think of your mental health and what works for you. Good Luck!!

I love Cymbalta. When I first started taking it, I lost a few pounds. Then, I gained it back but not any more than I started out with.
I have taken it since the day it came to the drugstores. I have fibromyalgia and it has worked wonders for that pain.

I was on effexor-xr and it made gain weight.
not sure about the one you are talking about, but in my experience most anti-depressants make you gain weight.
Anti-psychosis are worse for gaining weight, one of my friends sisters is on it and put on over 20 kilos.
If it helps you thought, I guess you just have to accept the weight gain until you're ready to come off the tablets. Even though gaining weight can be depressing

I gained 15 pounds eventhough my doctor swore it was not a side effect. I have since run into any people who experienced the same.
