I would just like to point out a few of these suggestions are rubbish. If you want to help you're metabolisim dont eat bread, toast, bagels, carbs slow down you're metabolism and turn into sugar in your system, if you are like me and love your carbs try wholemeal bread (but still kepp the amount small) brown rice and pasta and such.
Herbal teas are good at speeding up metabolism, as well as starting the day off with hot water with a slice of lemon in in
As for food try celery (its been said that we burn off more calories chewing it than what we put on from eating it)
Try spicing up you're meals as studies have shown casaicin in chilli peppers speed up metabolism
you can also take supplements of 'eca stack' that increases calories burnt.
Also lean protien is good such as fish and grilled chicken breast. Plenty of veg, but careful on fruit as it is full of natural sugars.
I would suggest starting a healthy eating diet (not a fad diet that works at burning fat quickly but is not maintainable) and exersizing which is also a good way to speed up your metabolism
i would suggest the New York Diet which has three phases that help raise metabolism loose weight and maintain the diet, the first 2 weeks are quite hard going to if you would like an easier diet to follow i would suggest the F2 diet
Pilates is a great way to loose weight without building up bulk muscle that doesnt look really attractive.
hope this helps :)

When our metabolism is not working normal - we may not - gain wt - so check if u any hormonal defect or - defect in absorption is there

If ur appetite is less - here is very easy method to increase the appetite - sounds simple - but give a try before rejecting

Take 150 - 200 ml water every hr - just note this down and without forgetting do this ur appetite will come to normal in 2 weeks - don't discontinue this

Take fruits - bananas the yellow one is good for health - take one a day

Increase soya crushed /soya balls/soya flakes- it is better than the soya bean - in ur diet - it is good protein

Have a balanced diet

Logically you can eat any thing low in fat. The best ideas would be raw vegetables (not too many potatoes ) and sprouted pulses.
However, i suggest you reexamine the assumption made in your question that frequent small meals are good for you. Actually one or two meals a day are quite enough for any normal person. I would suggest the following diet :
breakfast of fruits and one small glass of fresh juice
lunch of a bowl of salad, some rice or roti and sprouted dal
some vegetables ( suggest brocoli and mushroom ) or sprouted pulsed in the evening
two large glasses of vegetable juice at night(suggest carrots )
combined with exercise you will do very well

Anything high in protein will boost your metabolism. Some of us have slower metabolism rates but they can be "helped" by eating the right food. High protein foods would be eggs, peanut butter, red meat, beans....and another thing that will help is to drink lots of water

Things like, half a chicken breast sandwich, some toast, half a bagel with lowfat cream cheese, a can of vegetable soup, a small bowl of cereal with lowfat milk, a small salad, a Boca Burger (meatless, lowfat burgers). Basically anything you would eat normally, just in smaller portions. (As long as it's healthy.) Instead of having an entire sandwich and a salad and a piece of fruit, have half a sandwich and a piece of fruit, then eat a salad another time. Just learn how to cut your portions down to smaller sizes, and cut out unnecessary fats. I love eating like this, cos it's like all day snacking. I never have to feel hungry, but I never feel too full.

Small cups of applesauce (sweetener free) and carrots to munch on. Celery without the dipping sauce (a total no-no).

There are lots of wonderful things.

Eat small helpings of tofushi.
It's like a california roll stuffed with tofu.
It's totally good for you.
