I absolutely love fish & chips but since the wife doesn't, I don't get to indulge too often. Maybe that's why I enjoy them so much when I do.

Yes it's fine.Have it once at least each week,sometimes more. Prefer cod But also like plaice or haddock. Can't get rock eel any more, I don't know why.Although my local chippy does a good job I have noticed that if I have fish and chips while on a day out to the seaside that it tastes a bit different, more fresher perhaps, so maybe the fact that the fish is local and fresher makes it better.

Yeah but most places are bloody rubbish at making good fish and chips now you want good fish and chips go to websters or mermaids they are the best no one can beat mermaids on summer nights long queques of people stand or sit outside the shop and eat it.. bit cheap really aint saying they've got a restaurant next door lol lol

Love fish, chips and mushy peas, but there is a proviso (and it is NOT racist, just an observation) they have to be from a traditional English chippy, because, otherwise, the cooking fats get contaminated with flavours from other foods very easily, and then they just don't taste right.

I don't like fish & chips but OH does; unfortunately doesn't get to eat them very often, but makes the most of it if we go away, especially to Whitby!

Yes but i prefer oven cooked fish and chips you do at home, less greasy. I like mine with tomato ketchup, salt and vinegar and tarter sauce xxx.

I like it so long as it has no batter. I prefer grilled fish and chips.
