I'm Catholic. I was raised in a strict Catholic family, but have studied other religions. I'm still Catholic, because I feel that it's the religion that works best for me on a number of different levels. Have I doubted? Yes. I admit that I've sometimes doubted (or at least questioned) the validity of certain elements of Church dogma, but never enough to leave Catholicism altogether. As for opposing viewpoints, I welcome them, as long as they're not openly hostile.

Spiritism, because this is the only one that answered my questions. I was raised by a Jehova's Witness father who taught me everything about the Bible. My mother is Catholic and she prays for the Virgin Mary. In this mix, and maybe because of this mix, I was always very curious and never just accepted things without questioning. I used to go to my father's temple and to my mother's church. Later, I went to Budhism for a while. When I had my first daughter and she was a little child, she used to see spirits in our house. That's when I decided to search about Spiritism and they really helped her.
Spiritism is all about love to each other, because we are all equal and everybody will go to the same place after death. There is no "I am better than you" in Spiritism. We also believe that we encarnate several times, until we reach a level of perfection that we dont have to encarnate anymore. This is the only thing that makes sense to me. We see Jesus as an example to be followed, a Master, a Teacher, our Superior Guide.
Religion is all about your own experiences in life, is a very personal choice and pretty much intuition. We learn here and there and follow what we think it is right.
I dont condem opposing views, but I dont like to see people mocking other religions, making fun of whatever other people believe. It's a lack of respect.
Yes, I question my own religion a lot, but yet, I still think it is the only one that makes me feel good.
My religion, Spiritism, is based on Allan Kardec books. You can search about it and see if you like it or not, since you seem to be open-minded.
Peace!

I am Christian and I was raised that way. I however chose on my own to accept Jesus into my heart. I do not condem anyones opposing views, it's not my place, it's God's. Of course there are questions I have about my religion that I cannot have answered until I see Him. But having questions and doubting His existance are two different things. I do not doubt that God is in Heaven, there are just some things I do not completely understand. But I have faith in Him that He knows what He is doing, and maybe we aren't supposed to understand it all.

I am a Christian and I attend an United Methodist Church. I don't know why others condem opposing views, maybe because it's the human thing to do is to be afraid of people that are different. I've never once doubted my religion and it has only gotten stronger the 16 years I've been on earth. I completely trust the religion I've been for my whole life and I've gotten to decide to stay in it. At 13, I decided to be baptised at my church. That really strenghtened my faith. Now I play guitar for worship and feel that is what God has wanted me to do for Sunday morning, even if it's not his life plan for me. I feel God has given me talents and gifts and he has a plan for me to use them to the best of my ability. He may want me to die in a violent car crash, he may want me to lead a normal life. I trust him with all my heart and soul.

Formerly Christian (Lutheran, AoG), now agnostic.
Religion does not make sense to me. The idea that there exist magical, invisible beings that control the world is at odds with almost everything that I have experienced.
Not all others condemn opposing views. Those who do do so for a variety of reasons. One of the big reasons, I think, is that people can't understand how in the world someone can believe differently than they do, because their own point of view is OBVIOUSLY the correct one.
Yes, I did doubt my religion, which is why I'm agnostic.

I'm not religios, as I have not yet found a religion I agree with completely. I think others condem opposing viepoints because they were taught one way and are afraid that someone else might be right, and they are afriad that someone will challenge their beliefs and they might find many things that are hard to explain. I think everyone at one time doubts their beliefs...it's a human thing to do, especially if you think about heaven/hell and your own lifestyle. I really liked this question.

I am a christian, and for me christianity works. But i married a Jewish man, so i have been exposed the his religion and customs. We have chosen to raise our kids jewish b/c judiasm is more than a religion, it is a culture and i want my kids to know it. Of course they will also be familiar with christianity. And yes, i have doubted my religion. The biggest challenge to my religious convictions came when i started dating my husband, and some of my friends from my church (we were in a Bible study together) told me that my husband was going to go to hell, and that if i married him, i would not get to spend eternity with the person i spent my earthy life with. When I moved into my husbands house (before we were married), these same friends stopped talking to me. I had a difficult time with my faith b/c these were pillars of the church (the youth pastor and his wife!!) and they weren't behaving in (what i would have considered) a christian way. Over time, i have come to my own realization that i can't pass judgement on anyone elses religious choices and beliefs. I feel that as long as we all live by the golden rule, we will live happy, productive lives.

imo, religion is just man's interpretation of God. There is only one God, but because we humans rarely agree upon anything and have our own opinions....different religions are formed.
so to answer ur question
I believe in God, not religion
The reason why people condem opposing religious views is the same as why people are racist....mainly because they don't understand or are afraid of the other.
I have doubts about everything....and it isn't a bad thing either...it means you are thinking and have a mind of your own...rather than just accepting anything and everything that someone else tells you.

Muslim and yes I've doubted my religion many times. I even gave up religion all-together for a while and devoted some time studying all religions and the values and beliefs of each. In the end I came back to Islam where I'm very content.

I was catholic, but I don't believe in a religion now. If i had to choose one though it would have to be Greek Mythology or people should call it ancient Greek religion because they are all the same thing (religions). I'd pick it because they stories of Greek mythology are awesome. It has so many interesting stories unlike Christianity which were so boring that i had to day dream it church just so i wouldn't fall asleep.
