My obliques are wide because i trained them with weights. Bodybuilders have narrow waists. so how can i get rid of my obliques or make it shrink so my waist is narrow...

I never knew that training the obliques with weights makes the waist wider untill now :(

don't sweat it...many of us made the same mistake back in the 80's...

focus on making your back wider, nothing you can do about the obliques.

There are many bodybuilders who have "big" waists due to training their abs. They get around this look by overtraining other bodyparts to compensate, such as your lats, deltoids, traps and legs. Increasing mass in these areas will give the appearance of a smaller waist. I suggest looking up some pics of competitive bodybuilders to see - very few of them truly have small waists.

Perhaps another thing to try is not using weights when training obliques, since it sounds like you have enough muscle mass there. Just train them normally without weights, increase reps and see how that affects them. Really focus on the movement and hold it at the flex part, exhaling dramatically while you do that. Also, try some different exercises to see how that works for you.
