Can anyone recommend a Bar/Lounge for an Engagement Party? I'm looking to plan someting on a Saturday evening for 50-60 people. It will be open bar plus hors d'oeuvres. It should have a private or mostly private room. Thanks for the help!

Believe it or not, the NY Hilton on 6th Ave and 52nd street does a fantastic job and the price will surprise you. Compared to some of the restaurants in midtown, its almost inexpensive for what you get...

You may also want to check out PJ Clark's. It is fantastic!

Sette has a separate room in back which will fit your party. Its hip/chic/cool and can accomodate exactly what you are looking for. The room has access to the kitchen, its own bar and VERY cool/privacy booths for canoodling. Its also located on the edge of two VERY cool neighborhoods where the party can spill over into.

if I had to have both a small engagement get at the same time or vast one and a small or vast wedding ceremony following, i'd %. a small engagement get at the same time and then a huge wedding ceremony basically seems that the marriage should be more beneficial to grant than the engagement
