If I believe in God and I die, there is no harm done if I was wrong.
If I choose to deny His existence and I die, then I am in DEEP trouble if I am wrong.
I would rather err on the safe side.
However, since I have chosen to be on His side 30 years ago, He has taught me many wonderful things and provided me with a multitude of answered prayers, some of which were total, outright, absolute miracles that defied nature.
It has been said, "Before you are able to see a miracle, you must believe they exist."
Otherwise, it is blown off with some poor excuse of an explanation. If nothing else, it is sometimes said, "Nobody really knows."
But there is somebody that knows, even though the unbeliever is not able to comprehend it.
A normal kindergarten age child cannot comprehend trigonometry but that does not mean that it does not exist.
That is why it is important for us to be converted and become as little children. So that way, we are eager to learn from our Father in heaven much the same way a 3 or 4 year old is eager to learn from his earthly father.
God bless you and prosper your faith in Christ.

Believing is a faith driven by a feeling, oftentimes those feelings are brought upon by your immediate environment. Those faiths did not come to many as a random thing from the mind. Some kind of information must be received from someone very close to the person. Not believing in God is also a form of belief.
People that did not believe in God will never be affected by any realization afterwards specially if he did not do anything to destroy or hurt the believers. It is rather more dangerous for the any person who believes because he is just afraid it could be true. It is doubly dangerous for those who believe but did not live according to what his belief stands for. You are in a more serious trouble because from your standpoint you are just playing it safe and you are not serious. Jesus had a remark on those kind of people "You are neither hot or cold, therefore I shall spit you out of my mouth". So, I hope you should know now where you really stand.

I've allways wondered that same thing and that's why I am so afraid to die. People say "There is a God and he died for us...etc" but what if there really isn't. As I am growing older I am shifting my opionion towards there isn't a God and that there is no afterlife. First off I was raised Christian and did go to church and all and I never trully believed in the whole God created the world in 7 days and he rested on the 7th day. I always thought if God were so powerful why would he have to rest. Also when they say God had a son and he sacrificed his only son for us. I think that if God is what he made out to be then couldn't he "create" another one or would he have to mate with a goddess or something. Among that I also think that we are creatures on earth sharing it and that we too will become extinct just like 99 percent off other species that ever lived. Anyway to me the Bible at times seems like a "nice" fairy tale created to overall comfort the thought of eternal life. So to your question does God exist, no one can truly and surely answer that question but we can all have our own opinions and beliefs. I, in my heart kind of feel that he doesn't, but in my head its like i always have faith or hope that he does soley for eternal life and to not have been told a lie my whole life.

Pascal's Wager. Time for a drink.
Your statement is indeed true. So are the following:
I believe in Allah, but if after we die we realize he doesn't exist, nothing will happen to me...?
... however, if we realize He really exists, then all the people that didnt believe in Him will be in serious trouble, right?
I believe in Odin, but if after we die we realize he doesn't exist, nothing will happen to me...?
... however, if we realize He really exists, then all the people that didnt believe in Him will be in serious trouble, right?
I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but if after we die we realize he doesn't exist, nothing will happen to me...?
... however, if we realize He really exists, then all the people that didnt believe in Him will be in serious trouble, right?
So, yes, your statement is true, but you can see how simple that statement is.
Also, I'll point out that you cannot believe what you cannot believe. If you don't believe in God now, then you can't just make yourself believe. If God wants me to believe, then he can make it so. Thus, if I don't believe, then it's only because God didn't want me to. I hope I'm not really in serious trouble because God wants that to happen to me.

Nope.
You're making the classic mistake of assuming that the Christian God is the real or only one.
Deity does not punish people. We can choose to believe or not in each lifetime; there are no consequences either way.

Not exactly... When you die there won't be any realization that God doesn't exist. You will never know that you are dead. Because when you die, you cease to exist. Period. There's no after-death reflection....

I am not swayed in my opinion, God does exist and everyone that does not make the decision to follow Him on earth will not reign with Him in Heaven. May God Bless U.

Heh hee, you would not realize anything after death if God did not wake you up.
I think what you are trying to say though. Yes, I would say that the people who rejected Him are in serious trouble. God is alive and well. : )

I was once told by somebody that if they chose to be a christian either way they are save, but if they do not chose to be a christian and are wrong they could burn in hell. Good thing God knows our hearts.

If you are living your life just accepting less than what you want to achieve waiting for Heaven, then you will have wasted the one lifetime you get, know what I mean?
