My new partner is finding it hard to believe he can trust me because all his previous relationships have been ended in his partners being unfaithful, what i can say to help him believe that im not like the people he was previously with and that i can be trusted? i know trust has to be earned but is there anything i can do or say to help the situation?

there's nothing you can say. Just don't say "trust me"

I believe that in all relationships ,you have to follow T.H.I.N.K
.T is for trust , H is for honesty , I is for intelligence , N is for nurture, K is for knowlege. If all of these words are not involved in any relationship There is not a relationship. If you can believe this and he can believe this you are heading in the correct way. Whitch I believe is LOVE. Good luck !

words are not enough to get someone to trust you or for you to trust them. those things take time and if he is not willing to give you a chance and work through things. then you shouldnt be with him. because thats what a relationship is....its about building trust, learning about each other, and growing together. love isnt all peachy...its about the good and the bad...

well you can tell him you know that trust has to be earned, but he also needs to know that if he keeps comparing his present partners to his previous partners then he isnt giving them a fair chance and will ruin every relationship he gets into, you need to let him know that you are you and not like whoever he dated before... if he wont listen, i think i might move on to someone who has more self confidence... nothing worse than dealing with someone who has no confidence in themselves.... good luck

you say nothing, this take evidences of trust... words will never replace actions.... he's been cheeted on, and is naturally going to not trust you... these things take time and proof... keep yourself in check and be sure to not make the same mistake as others did to him... i will say that if you continue to tell him your not going to cheat on him, them he will become suspicious... let him ask you, if you've been faithfull, and when he ask, then make sure you are able to say i have been faithfull... anyway, trust as you said takes time, not because the words are hard to find it is because there are no owords but time and actions as proof... good luck
