If u think about it illegals do the jobs we don't want & helped build this country, I & my husband are american , but i have a niece who had a baby with an illegal, they have been together for years & can't get married bcuz they are afraid of him being deported & she has a son that would be devastated if his daddy was gone. Also at least some of them take care of their families, hell look at all these american men who don't take care of their children & the women have to go on state assistance bcuz the daddy doesn 't step up to the plate . I just feel if they are not bothereing u leave alone. We are all immigrants to a point. Are ansestors came from several different countries , we need to think of what is really important such as bush wasting our tax money over in Iraq killing peoples son, daughters , moms & dads . There are so many kids in foster care bcuz of the war it is sickning & people want to whine about people skipping over the border & immigrants do work hard & do a good job

If they only want a better life there are two options. Come here legally. If they have the proper paperwork there is no problem. Option 2 is to make their own government take care of them. Make things better in their own country. IMMIGRANTS do work hard, however ILLEGAL ALIENS start into this country breaking the law. They do not have any respect for this country or its laws. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IMMIGRANTS AND ILLEGAL ALIENS.

None of us sitting here has any power over the budget in Iraq.

We are seeing our children go to overcrowded schools on 'year round' schedules and emergency credentialed teachers, and see that programs we had in school have been cut across the board to fund ESL education for those who should not be here. It is a huge impact and our schools are failing. It costs $10,000 to educate a child for a single year in California, and even if illegals pay taxes they could not afford to pay that. They also can't pay for health care services or food stamp services many of their families use. They are a net drain and that is why we and every country in the world limit the number of poor people who can immigrate.

Our schools are failing our children, and their children are NOT more important than our own. Their better life is at our expense. We are very generous about immigration, but those who come above our limits are stealing, and we have every right to protect ourselves, and a duty to our own children, sick and poor to do so.

The invasion of America by criminals and the war in Iraq are two entirely separate and unrelated issues.
The first part of your question can be easily answered. A better life cannot begin with illegal activity. Essentially, they break the law by coming here, they break it again by staying here and they break it again by working here. If they want a better life, they need to follow the proper channels and come legally.
The people being killed in Iraq are primarily terrorists. They are sons, fathers and brothers yes, but they are terrorists who believe 72 virgins await them if they murder infidels - which means non-Muslims of any age and either gender.

I value my life more. I don't want to pay for them to have a better life. The "do the jobs Americans don't want to do" is a stale propoganda slogan coined by Vicente Fox. We don't want to work for slave wages.There is a surplus of illegals over here breeding, and taking all non-skilled jobs, forcing Americans to have to go to college or learn Spanish in order to find work. We don't need the millions crossing the border, and the millions being born in this country at the American middle-class taxpayer's expense. I am sorry that your niece made the poor choice in a mate, and allowed herself to be impregnated by an illegal alien, but that shouldn't be America's problem. No amnesty, deport all illegals, and their offspring.

Why should we provide a "better life" for any one from any country when it lowers our own standard of "better life"?
There are no jobs legal Americans wont,cant and haven't done for a livable wage. Who do you think did theses jobs before the influx of millions of illegal aliens who will work for far lower wages than Americans can? Legal Americans did them and would do them again for a livable wage.
yes war is hell but that doesn't excuse illegal aliens. Your niece knew he was illegal when she allowed herself to get pregnant. She needs to take responsibility for her own actions. Go to Mexico with him,wait for him to become legal or just deal with it. It is not this nations problem.
