That is within the normal range to loose with proper nutrition and exercise.
The normal is around 1 to two lbs per week, which gives around 4 to 5 kg per month, or between 12 and 15 Kg in 3 months.
But concentrate on your shape, not on your weight. What you want to loose if body fat NOT weight. Your weight is composed mostly of muscle, bones, blood, internal organs etc.. Body fat is a small percentage of the total.
The best way to evaluate if you are loosing body fat is to measure around your bellybutton every week. It should be getting smaller as you exercise and eat better.

1) Reduce the amount of simple carbs (sweets, Sodas, cookies, donuts, breads, etc...) to no more than 30 g/day.
2) Eat more complex carbs, found in vegetables and whole grain foods.
3) Make an exercise plan, such as jogging, biking, elliptical machine, fast walk, etc...(anyone that is pleasant to do for you) and STICK to it, RAIN or chine. At least 20 min per day, but keep increasing until you reach around 40 min/day or so, if you can find the time. If not, do it 3 times a week for one hour. But start at 10 to 15 min if you are not used to it.
4) Drink adequate amounts of water.
5) Eat adequate amounts of protein (it increases the production of glucagon, which reduces appetite)

Good luck.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
