I've been using a .177 pellet gun to shoot them, but that requires me staying up at night! Perhaps De-Con is the way??

I would really rather have dead mice than no mice at all. There's no getting around have mice under the porch, I don't think. I'm already shooting the squirrels during the day, but don't want to have to stay up with mice at night! Critters take the dead squirrels away at night, but damn those mice!

Attract owls and other natural predators to kill them. You are going to have to deal with the dead mice somehow, might as well feed more birds.

Of course with spring time just arriving, the birds can fend for themselves so, get rid of your current supply of bird seed and starve the mice into moving away. Get some traps for your house so they don't move in with you.

The problems with poisons is you never know who or what will get into it or eat a poisoned mouse. I figure you like your neighbors too much to poison a stray pet.

by poisoning mice and squirrels you will be inadvertently be killing birds and other wildlife as many animals and birds may feed on the dead mice. Either let the mice eat the bird food or take the feeders down. Can't expect an animal to pass up a free meal if you keep offering it.

You are feeding birds grain and want them to tell the difference between the food and De Con ?? You will have dead birds, try the bar bait instead and keep it out of the reach of the birds (and hope that cats or other predatory critters don't eat the dead mice).

I find that a product called Tom Cat bait and a no kill trap is a wonderful way to trap and kill mice. I use this method all the time.

The trap is big enough to hold a lot of mice. The Tom cat bait is a wonderful. The mice just flock to eat it.

Hope this helps you with your mice problem.

Take bar bait poison and one of those large liquid laundry detergent bottles take the cap off the bottle on the bottom of the bottle cut a hole about 1 1/2 in diameter .Put the poison inside the bottle and place it on the ground by your feeders .Mice can't resist going inside the holes in the bottom and pour spout in the detergent bottle to eat the poison but they are to small for anything else to get in and eat it .I have a farm and this is how I put out poison to kill rats and mice but keep other animals from getting it .

Wow wow slow down there shooting them? Instead of doing that why not just use one of those (not sure what they are called) sound devices that scare away the mice that worked for the mice in my garage.
