Benzodiazepines are pretty weight neutral. I've taken Valium and Xanax for a while as needed and I'm a very thin person. I've actually lost weight from the Xanax recently, to the extent where I'm trying to gain it back.
If you haven't tried benzos you can ask your doctor, but they're very addictive if you use them often. It might be a good option if you only need anxiety relief a couple times a week or so.

unfortunately a lot of medication does cause people to gain weight, especially meds for depression, anxiety and other symptoms. Talk to your doctor about your fears. Good luck.

The meds most likely didn't cause you to gain weight. Usually it is the side effect of increased appitite that makes you gain weight. Discuss this with your doc and discuss ways to control your appitite while you are using the meds to control your weight.
