You must be truthful about the original lie; although you have no responsibility to change your decision not to continue being involved with this guy. He deserves to know what brought him to this point; however in no uncertain terms must you feel compelled to commit at any level to 'getting back together'. Ensure that he understands that you are telling him the truth now because of your guilt and for the acute depressive state to which you've brought him. From there, you will both be able to (eventually) accept the situation; which is what you both need for this to come to fruition.

Yes it can...its actually very simple.TELL HIM THE TRUTH...its the only way 2 solve this...look u may have started a relationship with a lie but u guys after tht got along great rite...so there was natural chemistry...if u relli undyingly loves he wont care...and if he does u'll walk away from a relationship with a clear conscience and move on 2 bigger and better things and as for him he'll regret tht he didnt give u a second chance...hope it works out

well im not Jesus. but i can help out a lil. although God is the only one that can help you fa real. but you should jus tell him whateva it is thats keepin you from bein with this dude. its only gonna hurt you more. and i know you cant live with that. i really do hope that you find it in ya heart to relieve him and yourself from that pain. no matter how many times you ignore his calls and text mess. its not gonna erase the fact that you lied to him and you jus makin a bigger hole. PLz if you really love him, you would tell him whats really goin on. cuz neither of you deserve to be set back for nothin.

Ha! it incredibly is a assertion blown horribly out of share. All politicians lie, yet Santorum is a few thing else. i will no longer if he lies or if he's so misinformed and ignorant he certainly believes what he says.

Fix it... the only way is to tell him about the lie and let him figure it out. Maybe he still wants to get married regardless. Why waste time worrying about it when you can put the ball in his court and let him decide what to do?

Well it depends on what the lie was to begin with .... care to share? He sounds sweet to keep calling you, he doesn't want to give you up without a fight so on his side it must be true love, he might even forgive you! Give him a go.

Tell him the truth !
Let him decide if he can forgive and forget.
Don't leave him hanging like that !

Level with him and hope this helps you grow up! I don't have much sympathy for people who are deceptive.

You meet him and explain why you did what you did and ask for forgiveness that way.
If he forgives, fine; if not, nothing lost
