I'm daiting this guy and we've been e-mailing eachother for 8months now. And just recently I gave him my cell number. And my ex bf thinks he is a stalker. My ex bf kept giving me possibilities about him like"he could be a stalker, a petafile, and a murderer."

Yes,some cell numbers can be tracked down.
This would all depend what phone company your contracted.
You need to ask your phone company. I know you can find some home addresses under the 411 yellow pages on the net. (I have done this myself).
Without sounding like a nosey person here but why should you believe your x boyfriend any more than believing in your own judgement? UN less you yourself have a gut feeling something not right with this new found love?
If you don't feel comfortable because of whatever then just slowly, nice way distant yourself from the new love. Tell him things are moving to fast and your not sure of being steady with anyone. Then stop all contact.
Just a thought on this mater. I would do just this same advice given to you if in your shoes.
Could your x boyfriend just be abit jealous and may want you back or feel he needs to pick or chose your dates?
Those are pretty strong actuation's your x bf is making without due cause! UN less we don't have the whole story here?

Am I going crazy here or is it possible that your ex-boyfriend could be jealous of your current beau?
Or am I totally mistaken and your former lover is indeed genuinely looking out for you & your best interests?

Have you actually met him in the flesh yet? Because you said you were dating him, remember?
If you haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet, just be careful, that's all.
You never really know who you're dealing with until you meet them properly and spend quality time with them, know what I mean?
I doubt your crush will turn out to be either a stalker, a paedophile or a murderer though.

Yes, they can goto websites enter your cellphone number get your address your parents address, your social security number everything you want to know about someone is out there on the web and you no longer have to be a hacker you just pay `10 or 20 dollars and all that info is available for you.

From what I understand, no they cannot trace you be your cell phone #. Just watch your p's and q's with this guy. If he doesn't know where you ive, (your adress), keep it that way, and also, always meet him at the public place you are going to. Make sure he doesn't try following you in cars. Otherwise, don't worry about your cell phone. Take care.

There are sites you can go to and join that will pull up a persons info by cell phone number. Just like you can do a reverse search one whitepages.com with a landline number, it will give you name and address and a map to where you live, so if a person pays like five dollars a month (Sprint) they can find sprint users.

u never know he or someone he knows can work in the call center where ever u get service from. you can do reverse searches, some states are listing cell numbers now. i was employed in a call center for along time for a cell phone company so u never now why risk it?

As far as I know, it's not possible to track someone by a cell number unless you have access to the company's records. After all, it's not as though a cell stays in one place, by definition. It sounds to me as though your EX is the one who's a bit weird.

i think so.... human minds are hard to satisfy... if he's really obsessed for you, he can do things like that... tracking people is so easy... you can track them by their friends, CELL NUMBER and other facts they gave... if you want to track them w/ the help of the police, you'll need a bucket of money...
