My best male friend and I have been friends for 2 years. WE are both 16. This year he flirts with me, calls me beautiful and when the school dance came this Friday and 3 girls asked him to dance he escaped them not to dance with them.
He was dancing beside our female mutual friend.. not holding hands or anything and then he saw me come in during a slow song and he just left the gym.....
I don't understand why he would do that? :S
thank you!!

Hormones raging out of control - confusion as to what he feels and/or why, lack of experience expressing himself... try not to read too much in to it - wait a bit and then give him the opportunity to "talk about what's going on". If he gets really embarrassed or defensive, don't push the issue.

He is wonderfully confused. As you have gotten a little older he finds the person that was once just his friend has become his attractive friend and he's not sure how to handle it; how to act. If he is really your friend, you two need to honestly talk about it with no one else around. Make sure you accept his answer graciously no matter what he says. If he says your still just friends, be okay with that. Very good friends are harder to find than temporary boyfriends.
