you have this backwards.
Edit: I had to be shown the "truth" and given the "truth" before I could "accept" the truth. Faith is accepting and taking what has been given. Faith is holding onto the gift that opens the door to God.

I believe you're a bit confused, but it's common. You're confusing the words "Religion" and "Christianity." Christianity calls for faith without proof. Buddhism and most of the earth/pagan religions are about asking questions and learning the answers, thus gaining faith that way.

Truth needs to come first
to make for a valid acceptance.
I believe basic truths lie somewhere
within all of us.
Takes some digging sometimes,
though.

Yes in the christian living its normally the truth of GOD that will make you free after follows acceptance. Also the bible says that those that come to GOD must first believe that HE is...... (that HE exists) and that HE is a rewarded of those that diligently seek HIM so definitely in christian living not religion, acceptance of GOD is preceeded by belief, then because you believe revelation will come which is truth and because of truth you will become free to accept GOD bless.

Jesus is the ultimate truth. Yes, accepting Him as Lord and Savior of our lives does open the door for complete and honest truth in our lives. May God Bless U.

That is not always the case, and I much rather when it is not. It can work, but i have yet to find a truth which I had to accept something I was unsure of first in order to attain it.

a man must be born again to inter the kingdom of heaven. truth is the inspired word of the almighty God . truth comes when a man believes the truth, and accepts God word as just plain truth. you can accept truth or reject truth it,s as simple as that God forces no one to believe in him or his holy words..

I don't think so. I didn't believe first; I found truth first, then I believed it.

Christianity asks you to see with your heart, as well as your mind. Many refuse or can't see with their heart.
