You're probably lonely and thought about him/her and now you can't get that person out of your mind. It doesn't necessarily mean anything.

No not at all! I mean if you guys really cared about each other at one point and theres no reason to just stop caring about them then you dont.

This isnt as long...but I still care about most the girls ive been serious with and think about them sometimes too...only about 8 years back at the most but still. One in particular that if I dont end up with her if an when I move closer to her I know ill still love 20 years on.

If you didnt then you guys never really cared about each other to begin with....

Not at all strange. I still think of a boy I fell in love with in high school. His father died our sophomore year and he moved out of state. I have never forgotten him, his eyes, his smile. I occaisionally got to see him on TV over the years because he eventually moved to CA and became an actor. Although his hair is a little gray, his eyes and his smile remain as appealing as ever.

Not strange at all to me. But, I'm still looking for my fiance 37 yrs. ago. He was drafted, did his 3 yrs. called me in the middle of the night ... wanting to come & see me. I asked how he got my # & he said my dad gave it to him. ( He broke off the engagement right before he left for Nam.) so I thought that Dad, might of mentioned that I had married that yr. NO, Dad just gave him the # & left me to do tell him. I rarely heard from him the whole he was in Nam. Then, the day before I got married he sends me a I Love You, Easter Card, candy & a large framed photo in his army dress. What a great way to start a marriage. He went back in to the army for 20 yrs & have never heard from him. I try to look him up about every 10 yrs. He never married I heard, but as soon as I got divorced he was the first one I tried to connect up to. I'd just like to tell him I understand now, why he broke off the engagement. He didn't want me to worry about him. 30 yrs. later, I heard he was then happily married. But, I do often think of him & how different my life might have been. I am sure at our ages, neither one of us would have any thing in common ... I still wonder though... smiling :) Marie

strange? no. should you? that's more debatable. are you involved in a serious relationship now? are you simply wondering how s/he's doing and/or if s/he's ok OR do you want to start things over again?

maybe you're reflecting on the past because there's something in the present you're not happy about.

these are, of course, just guesses.

No not strange...just watch it, if you are married its ok to think about...but don't do anything about it. The Grass is not always greener on the other side.
But even though it was 20 years ago....it must have really taken hold:)
But your Kids, if you have any, and your wife if you have one, is more important.

I really don't think so. It seems like u never got over that person. It sounds like ur lingering to that memory when u were with this person. I think if u didnt end up with this person, i think u are wondering "what if " maybe ur questioning ur love life right now, thinking of ur ex.Caring for them ... i would only assume that u still keep in touch with them. well its not like u wouldnt care.

it's normal you had feelings for them a long time ago. When you see that person you are bound to have those feelings come back. don't worry about unless you want to go out with her then you should think about asking her out on a date.

I dont think it is strange. I think alot of people say "what if". Of course we dont go as far as hunting them down and destroying thier new lives.

I have dreams about my first love from time to time, and of course that brings about thoughts.
