Have you been back to the doctor?
If yes, & he/she stills says the same, change doctors.
A dietician can help - make enquiries via your local hospital about a dieticians clinic.
Generally eating a diet high in both soluble & insoluble fibre as well as drinking plenty of water should do it.
There are some medical conditions that cause unrelenting constipation hence why I say change doctors & see a dietician.
You should aim to eat 2 serves fruit, 5 serves vegetables & wholegrain cereals.
Oats are a good source of fibre & are low GI.
Using a senna preparation can help but it has been known to irritate the lining of the bowel. Taking a dose of Cod liver oil daily is a purgative as well as giving you an important dose of Omega 3 although it can taste yucky.
Most importantly - go back to your doctor or find a new one because untreated or poorly cared for constipation can lead to haemaroids.
Good luck.

Eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies every day. Drink extra water. Eat prunes or drink prune juice daily. Take a fiber supplement like metamucil twice a day and use a stool softener at least twice a day like colace aka docusate. Sit on the toilet for 5 minutes EVERY day after you eat breakfast whether you have a BM or not to try to get into a regular habit. Increase your exercise. If you don't have a BM by the third day then use a glycerin suppository or an enema.

It sounds like you've tried everything you can at home. Now it's time to go to see your doctor and schedule a colonoscopy to rule out a blockage or something more serious. In a colonoscopy they pass a tube, with a light and camera on the end, through your colon to take pictures of your insides. Not as bad as it sounds. They will give you a sedative and you'll never know it was done. Please take care of this right away. Good luck.

Two other things you did not list:-
Activity, try walking a lot.
Drink lots of water.
Keep off alcohol.
But definitely eat raw fruits first thing in am, and eat prunes regularly. Steamed vegetables with dinner, raw salads, and nuts. After doing all that regularly try not to think about you bowels. You may be becoming fixated.

you can buy an enema at the drug store . i suggest that . if that fails to work then you should call your doctor as you may need some medical help as a blockage could have formed that has to be removed by the doctor an operation of a kind.

Hun they all put good answers and they all are worth trying extra fluids changing your diet and exercise. But you really need to go to the doctor ya you could have a blockage but there could be something more serious that is causing that blockage. Go see a physician asap.

Try stool softeners, and drink more liquid, especially fruit juice. Apple juice is an excellent natural laxative for most people.
If you're still concerned, then it's time to see a gastroenterologist about your problems.
