According to the Apostle, John, the antichrist has been in the world since before he wrote about the antichrists (more than one) in 2 of his letters:
From 1 JN 2:18 -- "Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour."
From 2 JN 1:7 -- "Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist."
Does this mean that Jews and Muslims who do not recognize Jesus as the Christ are, in fact, the Antichrist? Positively NOT. John is referring to Christians who made this ascertion. The Docestists claim that Jesus' humanity was "absorbed" into his divinity while the gnostics believed (and still do) that the vision of Jesus leads to something higher.
And yes, according to John, there are more than one antichrists. ANYONE who denies that Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh is an antichrist. So relax....the end is not yet. Antichrists have been in the world since the late 1st century A.D.

It could be in human form or it could be a powerful world system that controls the economy, religion, and politics.
It could be both. It is here already because an antichrist spirit is definitely in this world today and on Yahoo -- it is anything that opposes God.

Buddhism often refers to the Confucian belief in the cycle of creation and destruction as a reflection of the eternal, timeless state of the universe, but has no belief in the destroyer, as the concept of Shiva (destroyer, perhaps an Eastern equivalent of an anti-Christ ) is mentioned in Hindu texts. Look into the Vedas. Since Buddhism broke away from the Brahman/Hinduist tradition, it has certain inherent diffferences. For example, the absolute equality of all people, the equivocation of Buddha in human and divine form with a higher power or consciousness, monotheism, animism, and the denial of the atman.
So we do not believe in anti-Christs. Such an idea is a media phenomenon. From my studies of the Bible, I do not recall any specific reference to an anti-Christ.

In answer to your question, the Bible says the number 666 is the number of man. So it is my belief that the antichrist has been here as long as man has been here.

I don't think that you could get 2 people on this earth to agree on that.
The point is, it does not matter. Live each day as if it were your last chance to make things right with God and your fellow man.

That depends on what form of christianity you follow alot of evangelical christian sects belive we are living in the end of days but some liberal christian sects belive that the antichrist is a figurative representive of a part of ourselves. so the anwser depends on who you are asking.

No the anti-Christ is not here, and in fact he will not be here. He will not be able to make it. You will know all the details when you get to Heaven.
However, I've heard that the anti-Bob will soon be here. I don't know much about him, but I've heard he is not as bad the anti-Christ would have been.
