That information is not accurate. All christians will go through tribulation (no where in the bible does it talk about pre/mid/post trib) and you choose wether or not to take the number. If you do not take the number of the beast then you either die or get killed. If you are forced then you are not a true christian.

This will be about the ONLY way you can survive the tribulation. The mark is how you will purchase the necessities of life...such as groceries, gasoline for your car, housing, clothing, etc. It will be the ultimate charge card!! Remember the tribulation lasts for 7 years, so it would be nearly impossible to store up enough food and supplies and even if you could do that, the Bible is clear that the plagues and earthquakes will kill thousands upon thousands. To refuse the mark will mean almost certain death as the antichrist will demand your allegiance. Accepting the mark may give you the power to buy and sell for some time, but be prepared to answer to God at the judgment, because you have now made your choice as to whom you choose to serve and there is no turning back. Why not choose God now...He offers life through His son and those who believe are kept from the coming wrath. Read for yourself 1 Thessalonians chapter 2, and verse 10.

The people alive during the great tribulation will be required to take the mark to buy or sell. There will be some people who refuse and hide out. If they survive the tribulation and didn't take the mark, they will go into the millennium, where things will be set up like God intended on the earth.

It is not those who survive the tribulation that will be forced to take the mark. It will be those that are alive DURING the tribulation that will be forced to take the mark. Many new Christians from those left behind, will die because they will not accept the mark.

Your information is not accurate. People will take the mark of the beast during the tribulation not after it.

Left Behind theology is fiction based on a belief invented in the early 1800s by a man named Darby.

If you look at older, more correct scripture, the word "Mark" is actually the word "Character". These words were improperly transposed for each other at a later time. To take the "Mark of the Beast" simply means to take the "Character of the Beast"....to take his character...to act evil.

On the Hand or on/in the Forehead is allegorical...meaning for "hands" is "our actions" and "forehead" is "our thoughts". Simply put, to take the Beast's character would mean that person now thinks evil thoughts and does evil acts. There are many, many people in the world today, at this moment, bearing the "Mark of the Beast".....people who have the character of Satan manifested in their evil lifestyles.

The rest of the LeHaye type stuff is active imaginations. READ scripture and you will see...or not see...for yourself.

If you were Jesus and I didn't believe in you would you allow me into your house? NO! By this time( the tibulation), one will either be Satan's or Gods!

Re: Augistin, just the word "mark" as being referred to, the mark of the beast, translated in the Strong's Concordance, in Hebrew, it means to smear with oil! In Greek it means to engrave, so really your first answer wasn't all correct. Some things in the Bible are to be taken literal some aren't. I recommend a good Strong's Concordance. It really helps with different words in different languages. Not meaning to be offensive.

I think most people are wrong about what the "great tribulation" is; I think it has already happened.
