does anyone know if minocycline can cause hair loss? any answers would be helpful!

I don't think so. It's an antibiotic (classification: tetracycline) used to treat chlamydia, periondontitis and acne.. It's side effects are mostly photosensitivity, gastrointestinal upset or diarrhea, and some abnormalities in the liver, blood and kidneys with long term use.

My son used it for a short period of time and didn't have any hair loss. He used it for about 6months.

It didn't cause hair loss for me at all. However, it made me feel "seasick", so to speak, for months.

Nope, it's not indicated anywhere as a side-effect, but to be safe, check with your doctor, it might be some rare side-effect. :D
