well you know you can't have sex cuz that would be illegal.... but if you're just dating i think it's alright.. you are probably on two way different maturity levels right now though.. what with her still being in high school and you out maybe in college or a job or something more adult world..

I don't see why not.
Girls mature mentally earlier than guys anyway. Of cos, I'm assuming here the 20 year old is the guy while the 16 year old is a girl.
But...be careful if you're intending a long term r/s. It might come a time when the younger one will have different views and goals in life, say, 5 years down the road.
I'm speaking from experience. My ex was 16 when we started. I was turning 21. Things went well and wonderful until she turned 21 earlier this year and decided that she had something else to do first (like going out of the country to look after her grandma) before she can commit to a r/s.

Yes. 20 years old and 16 years old are worlds apart in maturity. Wait until they are 25 and 21. The separation becomes much less because the 21 year old should be out of college or almost through. If you are the 20 year old, be the more mature and responsible and let the 16 year old have their youth and the fun that comes with it. If you are the 16 year old, wait and grow. Enjoy who you are right now. Don't be in so much of a hurry to grow up. Treasure each moment.

Dating...probably not. But its what the 20 year old wants to do during/after the date is what will get him/her in jail till the 16 year old is 30 that is the problem.
The 16 years old is a minor... and is statutory rape, regardless of who consented.

If the 16 yr old has their own car, job, place to live and is paying all the bills, health insurance car insurance etc and living by theirself, then no.If not then yes.A 16 yr old is not ready for the responsibilities of an adult relationship because theyre still poopin yellow. In other words, they are still getting ready for their future. They do not have what is needed to support theirselves. Most 20 yr olds are intrested in one thing, and it isn love and marriage. It starts with s and ends with x,and has an e in the middle. Can you guess what it is?Not to mention the fact that he can go to jail for messing with a minor.Graduate first, if he loves you he will wait.

Yes, yes and yes. I cannot stress enough that this is not a good thing. Despite the legal ramifications....as in statutory rape, the sixteen year old does not possess good judgement at this age and the 20yr old has only one thing on his mind(and I am assuming here that the 20yr old is the male).
I lived this dating situation exactly and lost my virginity to him.
a twenty year old is in a whole different place mentally than a 16yr old. Take my advice......don't go there.

Yes , they are worlds apart. At 16 you are not mature enough do deal with all the issues that dating some one that age will give you .
