No it goes against Judaism which is packaged in with the New Testament. Jesus completely discarded that Old Testament he said to love everyone. Those that use the lords name in vain and go against gay marriage and abortion are not Christian. But hypocrites looking for a war to be had and sadly restiring the past ignorance of Christianity. I'm an atheist but was born into a Christian family ignorant like the others I've spoke of. I'm often disgusted by those people that claim to be followers of Jesus Christ but do not follow any of his teaching.

No more than saying that you like Christians, persecute gay people.
...on second thought...Christians do not feel persecuted...but mum's the word about liking Christians around your gay buddies.(they might slap the fool out of you)

What most "christians" don't seem to understand is that Jesus preached Love of all people. So someone who likes gay people as much as anyone else is living their life alot more like Jesus than some of the so-called christians who want to burn the homosexual at the stake just for being different.
You are doing fine!

Nah, it just means that you hold a belief that (sadly) contradicts the beliefs of most Christians today.
I'm a Christian, and I like gay people too. They'd probably say I'm persecuting them more than you are ... because I'm "claiming" to be one of them and giving people the wrong impression.

How would this persecute Christians and Christianity? Remember "love the sinner, hate the sin"?

Christians often say their inability to persecute others is persecution.
There was a child in Kansas, I believe, who won the right to wear a shirt that says, "Homosexuality is a sin." He argued that not allowing him to wear it was persecution. He was 12 years old or so.

It's just you, a straight guy, saying you like gay people....and that you don't believe in the bible, and that you're not hypocritical, and that you're open minded, and that you allow people to have their own beliefs....you get the idea.

You're not persecuting Christians or Christianity.
On the other hand, you're not a good practicing Christian either.

No because I like gay and all people. Liking gay people does not compromise your Christianity. Christ said that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. Jesus loves everyone and that is why He came to earth to do for us all. However, if you are a true friend to them, you will tell them that homosexuality is not of God and they should repent and ask God for forgiveness. May God Bless U.
