I have dabbled in various religions, and would like to try a new one. Please say your religion and then a paragraph saying why I should try it out. Note for Christians and Muslims: I will not accept "You will go to Hell if you don't convert" as a reason. However, you may use any other reason you have have to show me why yours in the right one.

EDIT: Sorry, I glitched up my last question, so had to restart it.

Sorry, you dont "try" Jesus Christ. You either accept Him as the TRUTH and give Him your life, or you dont. Jesus says that He is the TRUTH. You either believe Him, or you dont. You dont just "try" His religion. "He who has the Son has the Life, He who has NOT the Son of God, has NOT the Life. 1John 5:12...That statment is either true or it isnt true. Jesus says its true. The World says its not true. You have to decide who to believe: Jesus or the World. And by the way, NOT deciding for EITHER is deciding for the world, according to Jesus.....theBerean

You have dabbled in various religions ? Oh hi, so have I. Cheers. I have read dozens of books on Chritianity, Islam, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. I have chosen Chritianity as my religion, b/c God Himself found me during the process. People do not CHOOSE any religion to believe in. The Creator enlighten us. It will happen to you sooner or later. Good luck my friend. No matter which religion you will believe in, be a nice man throughout your life. Good guys go to heaven. Religious ones don't. The more I read, the more I believe so.

You shouldn't really...unless you feel you want to. My religion believes you don't have to be a part of my religion in order to get to Paradise. Just try to live the life you are given, live it well, and there will be no problems. People don't really need an organized religion to be good people. Plus, mine has many rules. You may not like it.

Peace

I am a witch and very happy with it. It is not my place, nor anyone elses to convert you. It is your life and your path. It is the right one for me, but it is not for everyone. If you are interested you could get a book called "Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. But it is your call. IMHO there is no right or wrong religion, it is what is in your heart that matters.

The original, unchanged revelations given to Abraham and other prophets(like Moses and Jesus ) reaching back to Adam all came from the One True God(The Creator). This common origin explains their similarities in many beliefs and values

However, over time the teachings of the various religions, due to a variety of reasons, have become distorted and mixed with made-man ideas.

The last Prophet and Messenger of God, Muhammad , who is a direct descendant of Abraham through his first born son, Ishmael, was sent with the Last Guidance, Revelation and Testament, the Holy Qur'an(koran) to amend and correct the changes and corruption made to the the "Torah" which was sent to Moses and theTrue Gospel of Jesus. To say the truth ,God preserved all the other Holy Books plainly by preserving His Last Book the Holy Qur'an(koran)which contains the right and the truth of all that was changed in those other Books.

This is why this last Revelation which was sent 1423 years ago has remained unchanged, not even a word or a letter has been altered.

There is not even one word of difference between two Arabic Qur'ans, anywhere in the world. There has been no disagreements in history among Muslims as to what should and should not be in the Qur'an. However, in the case of the Bible, even the most ancient manuscripts conflict with one another so that no two are identical. Footnotes in all modern versions of the Bible prove this fact.

These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect

It was only natural for Almighty God to preserve the scripture revealed to Prophet Muhammad, because he was the last Prophet and Final Messenger of God.

Islam teaches us that we must pray directly to God without an intermediary and no soul can bear the burden of another and that the nature of humanity is good, and we did not inherit sin from Adam. Each soul comes into being free of sin.in Islam there are no priests or clergy -- each worshipper, man or woman, has a direct relationship with their Merciful Creator -- Almighty God. Since God is the Owner and Sustainer of everything, as well as the only one who can provide true and complete forgiveness, it is completely futile to try to approach Him through anyone else.

The oneness and universality of God's message requires that people accept all the messengers of God. Rejecting one of them amounts to rejecting them all. The Jews reject Jesus's mission and Muhammad's mission; the Christians reject Muhammad's mission; whereas the Muslims accept them all, but reject incorrect historical interpretations and human elements in these missions.

As the Qur'an is the final revelation and Muhammad is the final prophet, humanity is obligated to accept it: "If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost all spiritual good" (3:86).

The Final Prophet Muhammad said: "Whoever believes there is no god but God, alone without partner, that Muhammad is His messenger, that Jesus is messenger of God, and that Paradise and Hell are true, shall be received by God into Heaven."

you can do that now as you are reading these lines is to pronounce the two confirmations and attestations of faith, here it is

I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NO GOD WORTHY OF WORSHIP EXCEPT ALLAH ( ARABIC WORD MEANS ONE GOD-THE CREATOR). AND I BEAR WITNESS THAT MUHAMMAD IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER. I BEAR WITNESS THAT JESUS IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER.

The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.

I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach

Principally, the correct religion is based on worshipping only the Creator and submitting to His Legislative Decree as He reveals to humanity.

Now you might ask which religion has His Legislative Decree? In other words how do we know how we can submit ourselves to God's Judgement and Will?

Well it shouldnt be based upon what people "guess" what God is pleased with, or fathom with their own intellects, but rahter it should be based upon what God reveals to select individuals. When you realize our purpose is to worship God(alone), then believing in what God reveals to certain individuals who preach nothing except this concept; individuals who do not preach to worship anything else, or to ascribe divinity to anything else; then believing in what God sent down to them is the straight path.

This is a brief overview of why I am Muslim, the religion of submission to God alone, by following what He reveals unto His Messengers. His final Messenger was Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

I would not entice you to a religion that would leave you empty as you have already experienced. I would invite you to meet the true and only God among gods. Not for the sake of fear, but for the sake of joy and peace beyond your understanding.

The Catholic Church is the only Church founded by God Himself in the flesh only 2,000 years ago.

Jesus gave ALL of His authority to His Church to teach, and He gave to His Church the Holy Spirit to always guide the Church's teachings so that the teachings of the Magisterium (bishops in union with the Pope or the Pope alone) will never be in error in any matter of faith and morals.

This does not mean that the Church won't have sinners. The Church will have saints and sinners until Jesus returns in His glory.

The Church is a hospital for sinners so that they may receive the spiritual graces given by Jesus through the 7 Sacraments to grow in holiness and virtue and eventually become saints.

I don't care whether you do or not.

I only care that whatever religion you *do* choose, you do not use it as a base for persecuting others, impeding their rights or trampling on the constitution.

Other than that, whatever stirs your cauldron... Or breaks your wafer... Or spins your dreidel... Or brings you closer to nirvana...
