About a week ago or so i realized that it hurt whenever i swallowed. I duno any other way to describe it but it felt like it does whenever you swallow something down the wrong pipe. This has been going on for about a week or so and it really acts up whenever i eat or drink anything no matter how big or small. Does anybody have any idea what this is?

something could have scratched the tissue in your throat.... give it time, and gargle with salt water.

well if it hurts to eat or drink it could be strep throught. if it is it might eventually lead to being painful to breath. go to the doctor and have him/her check it out.
it could be anyting from strep to swollen tonsels to other worse things that could envolve getting your tonsils removed.
however it might not be at all seirous an you might just be sleeping with your mouth open and drying your tonsils up a smidge.
only 1 way to find out go to a dr.

You have an obstruction in your esophagus and it could be anything from a tumor to a tear caused by a foreign object. You need to see a doctor immediately.

I think you should make a doctors appt as soon as possable and have a professional tell you what is wrong. Don't ask total strangers here for that kind of answer. Their answers are only guesses because they haven't seen you and can't tell you for sure what is wrong. Please call your doctor.

Yes. You could have something like strep throat or something a lot worse.

hey..i got the same prob once.....a doc gave me some antibiotics for a week....& when it still wasnt ok, she said i've got thyroid & referred me to the hospital...they inserted their sort-of 'camera' through my nose to see what's inside and when they couldnt find anything, did xray...turns out its some fish bone...i had the pain for abt a month though...
