My dog got run over and I'm only taking him to his VET tomorrow, I gave a 1/3 of aspirin last night so he wouldn't be in pain...should i give him aspirin again?
*He's doing okay but yes he's in pain when he moves, thank god no bleeding or cuts, just his left leg got a huge bruise :(
thanks :)

Your dog may be seriously hurt on the INSIDE, despite the fact that he doesn't appear too bad on the outside. Please get him to an emergency animal hospital if you can. The poor thing is probably in awful pain and it's probably not the kind of pain that aspirin can put a dent in. If I got hit by a car, I'd want something A LOT stronger.
Please help this creature out. He is depending on you to take good care of him.

Baby asprin would be a better choice and only half a tab. you did not say what kind of a dog or how big so I am not sure if you are giving it too much or not. I hope you do take the dog to the vet. There must be a 24 hour emergency vet somewhere in your area.

Where are you located? Maybe even a dog breeder could give you suggestions. When I had an onjured pet, I was told not to use asprin cause it thins the blood and if internal bleeding is occurring, it could worsen. Have you tried going under the yahoo groups, search for animal vet, and see if there is a group of professionals out there that could help you with your dog. I belong to a horse vet group. If you want to send me your address and a quick description of whats going on, I can post it on there for you. Good Luck, Our prayers are with you and your dog

Sorry to hear that, but even though there is no outer injury that doesnt mean it might not have internal bleeding or something else. You should take him to a 24 hour emergency vet ASAP

Phone an emergency vet (long distance, if needs be -- use an online Yellow Pages or something like that to find one if there isn't one nearby) and ask them what to do. They can ask you pertinent questions to help make an informed decision as to whether your dog needs attention now or can wait for tomorrow.

God you people piss me off. When a dog needs vet care then you need to get the dog fricken vet care. Not all vets do emergency care so you call ANOTHER vet until you find one that does and you take it that night..... god go get a clue

Good grief take him to an emergency vet right away, don't wait. He may have internal injuries that can kill him by the time you wait till tomorrow!!!!
