You are very good with your belief. Yes I would add that we tend to go with the world and all of its wealth ideas and worry.
Most Christians are complacent and forget all they have accrued and feel that they are good and may have things that prempt the call of the Lord; to feed the hungry and visit the sick and imprisioned, forgive, accept other Religions, etc.
We even drive like we are God and want everyone to get out of our way because we are very important and don't need anyone keeping us from our priorities. A little lie or boasting here and there and then some other temptation takes us away from that child symbol and no need for Christ at this time in our life.
When things go wrong God is the first one on my list, but honestly I forget sometimes to make him always first. I really try to focus on who I am as a Christian. So I think because we are human, we tend to be that way.
Forgiveness from Jesus is the way to come back to that little child image and be dependent on Jesus. And that is what Jesus came for and has sent His Holy Spirit to help us see the need we MUST have, in His salvation. Blessings on your good works.

Yes, a Child also holds a pure faith in what Jesus tells us. They have faith without thinking it through or without hesitation. ex: as a child, without thinking, faith so strong that there is a God, a child proclaims, if there is a God, it will rain in 5 minutes, this is a clear sunny day, in 5 minutes, it rains. The child didn't stop to think, "well what if it doesn't happen, will I look foolish?" An adult would hesitate and think these things and possibly opt not to make such a statement. True story - If adults had faith as a child, wouldn't that be great!

Yes have you have you ever spanked a child or talked harsh at them and after the fact go back and ask do you love me still? that child acts as if he/she was never even spanked or talked at they smile and say yes i do love you. Even in this way He means that we should become like them, with a forgiving heart.

it suits the church to say so:" all you become as this little child so that we (church´s leaders) can manipulate and control you as we (church´s leaders) want to." Are you really sure it was said by christ?, church leaders may have added some parts to their own benefit
