As it's only for a day or two, keep him confined in a crate with food water and litter tray available when you really need to keep him quiet, once this behaviour has started it won't stop and it's only a matter of time until he starts spraying. Get him desexed ASAP. It is more distressing for him to go through this as it is for you to hear it.
Don't let him outside, he will get into fights or mate which gives him the potential to get feline AIDS, Leukemia, Herpes, Chlamydia and other cat viruses.

Some cats are just very vocal. Maybe yours is one of them. You could try talking to the cat. My husband started meowing back. The cat shut up and looked at my husband as if he didn't know what was being said because the accent was so bad!
Getting him fixed usually calms down the cat. Try a little catnip. Maybe when he's "nipped up" he might mellow out. Recreational drugs for cats!

Good luck with quieting him down...and since you are not supposed to have a cat, why do you? What are your plans for this guy? To hide him outside? Perhaps you should try to find a rental that will allow you to have a pet...what will you do once you are found out?

You need to be careful about watching him for spraying urine in your apartment. Un-neutered males start doing that at this time so keep an eye on him as the odor is hard to get rid of. Good luck! He will be restless I guess until the surgery.

Get some lavender this smell calms cats down. Also dont yell at him. Put him in a nice warm place where he can rest. If all else falls then just let him tire himself out.
