I think God is bigger than that. He looks at your heart. Look at all the patriarchs and you'll see blemishes. But God always gives a way out.
First of all, lust is a problem if that is what you're talking about. Thinking a woman is good looking is not necessarily a sin. You need to leave it there. It's when you start dwelling on what you want to do with her, then it becomes a problem.
It sounds as if you're beating yourself up and trying to perform good works rather than settle for Gods grace. Won't work. Also, sin is not to be taken lightly. God's grace does not give license for outright blatant sin. (Heb 10:26)
And when you're in prayer as I hope you are, you will confess what is brought to your mind. And as a side note, more word and prayer will replace what we call the flesh with the things of the Spirit.

First you have to acknowlege or realize that you are a sinner and not living up to God's standards. You express deep regret for the way you have lived.
You bow down to God and repent of your sins, and ask God to forgive you, and come and live in you heart and mind.
God's Word says that you have now become a new creature in Christ spiritually, old things past, and your sins have been forgiven.
You do not plan or want to live like the world does anymore. You have chosen to follow God. You have been born again spiritually so you are a babe in Christ and have many things to learn.
You get a Bible to read because it is the Word of God. You want to renew your mind daily with God's Word because you still have to live in the world and your spirit is still housed in a body of flesh. Here you will have a warring with the flesh and the spirit. Because spiritually you want to do the right thing but your flesh takes over sometimes so you need to have the mind of Christ to help you.
Flesh or carnality will always be with you until you die.
You will still make mistakes, you will still sin but it will not be willful sins like before. You don't entertain sin anymore. The moment you sin, you ask Jesus to forgive you and move on. That sin is put under the blood of Jesus and is no more.
In time, the sins that had a hold on you will no longer be a struggle because you are faithfully walking in the Spirit of God. We are being perfected daily through obedience and faithfulness and by every Word of God.
An example, say I am driving down the street and when I was carnal-minded, if someone cut me short maybe I would yell an obsenity. Now that I am a new creature in Christ Jesus, if this happens, I will still get angry but I won't allow the anger to cause me to react because I will remember the scripture I read that will stop me in my tracks. I have overcome the sin of anger by obeying the Word that tells me not to be angry.

Don't worry about hell, instead focus on the Lord. God is not so narrow minded that the forgiveness of sins is a mechanical/mathematical process to Him... no, no. As you probably know our Lord is after one thing, your heart... the condition of your soul (self) in relation to Him and His Kingdom. He said that if you love me you will obey my commands, how does that resinate with you? It all comes down to love, He certainly knows your weaknesses... yet He loves you anyway. He has already shed his blood for you, but you need to get beyond the rules and learn to know Him and out of knowing him, freely follow him. This whole tempation thing only has power when we remain uncommitted to God, our wills are not strong enough to be committed, we need His strengh that comes from God's Spirit... it takes a vibrant relationship with God to dispell the foolishness of this world (which in our sinful lives appear wise/attractive). Remember not to run out there and change everything in your life at once, take the biggest rocks and get rid of the them first... don't forget constant prayer/worship, move onto the remaining rocks (from large to small). Eventually you will get to a point where you don't see rocks until the Lord reveals them to you. To God, the tiny pebles are just as severe as the big boulders... don't sweat over it, be thankful that you have been made aware... and work on it. Blessings...

It's not easy. I'm a sinner too....we all are. The thing about it is to develop a prayer life.....find a time to dedicate to God, and spend it in prayer on a daily basis.......every day, read the Bible. Try to have a personal fellowship with God. If you find yourself thinking bad thoughts......pray. Just remember, we're all tempted. Temptation is not a sin, acting on that temptation is when it becomes sin. Think about this.....better yet....pray. Best of luck to you.

Salvation is not based on whether a Christian has confessed and repented of every sin. Yes, we should confess our sins to God as soon as we are aware that we have sinned. However, we do not always need to be asking God for forgiveness. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, ALL of our sins are forgiven. That includes past, present, and future, big or small. Believers do not have to keep asking for forgiveness or repenting in order to have their sins forgiven. Jesus died to pay the penalty for all of our sins, and when they are forgiven, they are all forgiven (Colossians 1:14; Acts 10:43).
What we are to do is confess our sins: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Please note that this Scripture does not mention asking God for forgiveness. Scripture nowhere instructs believers in Christ to ask God for forgiveness. What 1 John 1:9 tells us to do is “confess” our sins to God. The word “confess” means “to agree with.” When we confess our sins to God, we are agreeing with God that we were wrong, that we have sinned. God forgives us, through confession, on an ongoing basis because of the fact that He is “faithful and just.” How is God “faithful and just?” He is faithful by forgiving sins; that He has promised to do for all those who receive Christ as Savior. He is just by applying Christ’s payment for our sins, recognizing that the sins have indeed been atoned for.
1 John 1:9 does, though, indicate that somehow forgiveness is dependant on our confessing our sins to God. How does this work if all of our sins are forgiven the moment we receive Christ as Savior? It seems what the Apostle John is describing here is “relational” forgiveness. All of our sins are forgiven “positionally” the moment we receive Christ as Savior. This “positional” forgiveness guarantees our salvation and promise of an eternal home in Heaven. When we stand before God after death, God will not deny us entrance into Heaven because of our sins. That is “positional” forgiveness. The concept of “relational” forgiveness is based on the fact that when we sin, we offend God and grieve His Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). While God has ultimately forgiven us of the sins we commit, they still result in a blocking or hindrance in our relationship with God. A young boy who sins against his father is not cast out of the family. A godly father will forgive his children unconditionally. At the same time, a good relationship between father and son cannot be achieved until the relationship is restored. This can only occur when a child confesses his mistakes to his father, and apologizes. That is why we confess our sins to God…not to maintain our salvation, but to bring ourselves back into close fellowship with the God who loves us and has already forgiven us.

You need the power of the Holy Spirit to help you overcome your sins. You still won't be perfect, but you will make a lot more progress against sin.
