how can i know if somebody was taken to the er by an ambulance because my husband has not returend home

Call the ER and tell them you are looking for your husband. See if they have a patient by his name OR if they have a John Doe fitting his description.

Call the ER and ask for him by name. We are allowed to release name and condition only, so they can confirm if he is there. Unless he requested to be a "no info" patient, they will tell you.

Larry, your husband should have emergency contact information on him. the paramedics will search for it on the way to the hospital and call you. either a note in his wallet or your number on his cell phone address book listed as "ICE Larry" (ICE=In Case of Emergency)
If not, you might start calling the hospitals around wherever he was at.

if he has a cell phone call him, or call his best friend chances are he isn't in the hospital. if he is carrying his drivers license on him and any thing has happened the hospital will contact you. but if it makes you feel better, then call your local hospitals to inquire.
