Actually, I thought this was what was in 'SPP' for Bush ever since I heard that Mexico's oil field was playing out at certain levels, and that they needed foreign investment and technology to exploit the rest of their oil.

We have that technology.

What do you think. Is this off base?

wrangler, thanks. I've read some of that before, and I think there is truth to it. I reserve judgment on the purpose of the Church's actions beyond the fact that the illegal immigrants are part of their parishes, but they can't be unaware of the impact.

I would believe Glen Beck long before I believed Bush.
Let them keep their oil, I'll buy a horse!
Since Lou Dobbs not running for president, I'll have to vote for Tancredo!
Spread the word!

Although that may be a factor it still doesn't explain it. I think there is a whole lot more going on with Mexico. In the last year or so there have been some really odd developments in Mexico. There have been multiple killings of Police Chiefs, some beheading of prosecutors and police, assassinations of judges and prosecutors. The Federal Police raided the local police department in Tijuana and confiscated all of their firearms. The appearance of military escorts for drug smugglers on the border etc.

I think Mexico is teetering on the brink of some kind of civil war. The drug lords have more money that the national treasury, many troops that were specially trained in the U.S. to ferret out the drug lords have sold out and now work for the drug lords protecting their interests.

I know there is a lot of pressure from groups that want to reclaim Texas, New Mexico and Southern California for Mexico. Pressure from indigenous people who are badly discriminated against. I suspect a large number of the illegal immigrants are from this group as the Mexican government looks to get rid of them.

I think it is a real pressure cooker down there. In fact the same can be said about many countries in Central and South America, too.

Well Bush has always been an Oilman 1st, and Our President 2nd. So it sounds like a backroom deal to me!

I just love the unconditional admiration that Glen Beck has for Geez Dubya Bush, LMAO!
