NO! Milk is the last thng a child w/ diarrhea needs! Many times the enzymes that break down milk sugar are not made when the GI tract is under attack. Avoid milk!

Now, remember this: diarrhea is a symptom of a bigger problem, not a problem in and of itself. It is not a normal thing. So you need to get down to the root of what's causing her diarrhea.

You don't say how old she is, but over about a year old, you can give her Immodium or Kaopectate, both of which can stop the diarrhea, or at least slow it. Both only work in the GI tract, and are not absorbed into the bloodstream.

Meanwhile, force fluids. Diluted juices such as white grape, purple grape, pineapple, gatorade, fruit punch... I'd skip apple for now.

You may also try feeding her bananas, rice, and plain white toast, all of which can help w/ the runs.

If it continues, she runs the risk of dehydration. Get her to the doctor in the AM if she still has diarrhea. Remember, it's a symptom of a bigger problem.

Unless you have unpasteurized milk, boiling will do nothing but make it taste funny. Possibly your daughter is lactose intolerent and the milk is causing the problem. Pedialyte is the best thing for a child with diarrhea. In any case you should see a doctor to be sure.

It was done during the time when the milk wasn't pasturised. But any way that was to avoid lacto-intolerance. Usually we avoid milk during loose motion times for babies. PLs ask the mom to nurse as much as possible. Also try the pinch of salt and a two pinch of sugar with clean water solution...that is what unicef recommends for the world.
I hope the baby feels better
