Cats are intense stalkers. Your cat is probably planning to "hunt" you.

It depends. Usually a long stare without blinking means that the cat is trying to become dominant, the leader. You should stare back until the cat looks away. It is important that the cat sees you as leader not the other way around. She does not hate you. We have 3 cats.

Cats have 3 eyelids 2 solid and 1 see-through so your cat is probably blinking but just with the see-through.

I read somewhere that cats stare at you with the same intensity whether there is a moth behind you or an ax murderer. I really think it's just a game they play to try and "creep you out". That's what makes cats so much fun!

All cats do this. They just love playing the stare game. Play along - see if you can out stare your cat - I'll bet you lose. I know I've never won yet.

i've been told that when a cat blinks her eyes at you, it is a sign of trust...long, slow blinks are called "cat kisses"...if logic follows, she doesn't want to take her eyes off you...maybe she's had trust issues with somebody...i know you love your kitty, you're not purposely hurting kitty's feelings--maybe someone could give some trust-building exercises?

peace, tammy

Staring in cat language is a threat, she might be trying to tell you something, have you done something that has upset her?

Sometimes when they're familar and trust you, it doesn't mean anything.

are you staring back? Maybe she is trying to figure out what you are all about. My cats stare at me too, and I believe it is simply their attempt to communicate with me in a way I can't understand.

No she is not mad at you my cat does that all the time and he is so loving and careing so I do not think that she is mad at you I think that she wants you to give her some attention that is what my cat does. he will sit there and you have to play with him. Like if you play with him he will play dead so I think that is pritty good for a cat so I do not think that your cat is mad at you she just want attention.

I usually assume they're either wondering why you don't get up off your seat and pet them; or use your opposable thumb to give them fresh food; or challenging you for not going out to the garden and picking fresh catnip for them.

Generally, that's also the posture for their telepathic mind control techniques. Resistance is futile. You knew that when you brought her home, didn't you?
