Yes I am, but I won't go down without a fight. I'm a Christian with a .357, the worst kind of hypocrite out there, so don't f*ck with me.

Why only the men? Lol are women all suddenly cowards now? :P

Well for the most part, it depends on what you're talking about. If it's a mere belief that tooth fairies exist, or that there are supernatural livings outside earth undiscovered, or that you can fly if you trust gravity and jump out the window with a broom, then NO. Lol.

Life's too good to miss out the little human sufferings and the sweet, caring people around me. :)

I would, however, die for my beliefs if it's a meaningful death that would accomplish a better life for humanity, and that I know people would learn of my sacrifice. :)

Is this a "god" question?
Is this a "personal philosophy" question?
Is this an "I believe that fish and chips taste nice" question?
In any event, the only sensible answer has to be "Idon't know unless and until I am faced with that choice".
I would not die for any belief, based on years of seeing that there are no matters for which a person's death actually achieves a commensurate elevation of the overall good of humanity.

"Seperate the men from the cowards" - that's a trifle pejorative, insulting, of those who might not share your view, isn't it? If you truly have that level of contempt for those who do not agree with you, does not that suggest a difficulty you might have with your fellow human beings?

I am not a man and I am not a coward. I am prepared to die for what I believe in and would consider it an Honor. JCLY

My question to you is whether you're prepared to live for what you believe in. Dying is a very romantic "heroic" notion, and is over in a moment. The real challenge is trudging down the days of one's life without medals or heavenly choirs, but quietly, unrecognisedly working away for something greater than one's self.

The aridity of pursuing thanklessly some good, year after year, without hope of glory can be very exhausting, particularly if one pursues that good without hope of recompense or honor, but merely because it is right.

Are you prepared for that?

By the way, it's "separate," not "seperate."

Since I believe in living and enjoying life, that would be a wee bit daft, wouldn't it!?

And am I a coward? Quite possibly, though I guess I won't know until I'm tested will I?

If I am to be truly honest with my self, I can think that there are some things worth dying for, but I can't really know how I would respond, until if, and when that moment arrives that truly tests one's mettle. There was a story in the news lately, about a man in NYC who dove down on an epileptic man who fell on the subway track, held him still, and protected him as the train went over both of them. I doubt he spent much time dwelling on whether he thought this man's life worth saving, or whether the belief that all life is sacred was something worth laying down his own for. He saw someone in trouble, and dove in there, at considerable risk to his life. I can think about it in the abstract all I want to, but I will never really know until something happens.

I would love to think that I could be a martyr for my saviour, but if it actually came to it, which I hope it doesn't, I do not know to be honest. I know I would be going to a better place and would be safe, but I have a purpose here to fulfill, however God's will is greater than mine.
I think becoming a martyr is the greatest declaration of faith. God cannot ask more of you but to give your life for him, going from a living sacrifice to a sacrifice of love and faith.

And a martyrdom does not happen in vain.

nope but im fully perpared to live for it

"martyrdom and non-personal heroism is to be associated not with integrity but stupidity. This, of course does not apply in situations which involve the saftey of a loved one. But to give ones life for something as impersonal as a political or religious issue is the ultimate in masochism."

Its easy for everyone to answer this question now, when they aren't in the situation of having to make a real choice.

I guess the truth is, none of us could possibly know unless we were in a situation where we're forced to trade our beliefs for our lives.

I want to say that the answer to this question is yes, with my whole heart ... but I'll be honest enough to say that I couldn't know unless I had no other options but to make the choice. I think it would be alot harder on me, actually, if it was my beliefs versus the lives of my stepkids.

Are you?

I know where I am going if I die.

I know my God loves me.

I know he will protect me.

I know I am prepared to die if it is in his will.

I know his will is more important.

I know that he will never leave me nor forsake me.

I know that I will die when HE says I need to die.

Now again, are you prepared? Where are you going when you die? If you don't know then I suggest you start praying.

I pray anyone reading this question will ask themselves the same. Do you know? Lord touch anyone reading this and let them be real with themselves. Lets separate the men from the cowards. God your will be done, show your love and touch anyone who has ears that they may listen.

God Bless
