Does it make any sense to put the magnetic mattress pad over top of a metal coil mattress or iron bed frame?

The only thing magnets do is attract metals. Unless you have metal chunks floating around in your body, the don't do anything. People use them and swear by them. But there is always a percentage of people who take placebo in tests that say they worked. The mind is a powerful thing. if you believe in it, it might work. But clinically they are of absolutely no help.

Some people believe things like that. It's not recognized by science or conventional medicine.

My wife's uncle had a clinic in India where they gave magnet therapy. I know a lot of people went there for treatment; so somebody must have believed it worked. Some people in his family made fun of it, though.

I honestly don't see how magnetism is going to have any effect on free radicals or ions in the body.
