i just got this girls number the other day and i am going to call her now, but i always have trouble with that " first time call"

We all do. In fact sometimes I'm too nervous to ANSWER the phone! It's easier with practice especially if you keep the calls short (10 minutes). If the call is going well you don't want it to end but then there is the awkward moment of saying goodbye. If you keep it short and say you have to "get going" then the experience will stay positive and more likely to do it again. Of course, I should listen to my own advice sometimes...my guy and I were on the phone for 1/2 hour today!

Think of things to say before you call, try to keep conversation going. Think of more than you will need if you're both quiet, and think of something to say for when you need to go. Avoid awkward silence, it's the worst on the phone. Try to say funny stuff, but don't try too hard, they love to laugh. Start some inside jokes, take it easy, and have fun! gl

you get shy because you don't know what you have to say plan it out wright it on a piece of paper and say it to her but ask someone you know that is a boy for advice that has had to ask someone out and it worked you may not say the right thing

because you lack the self confidence. You care about what she thinks of you and because of this you do not want to f*** up. And this makes you shy.
Don't worry about it, make sure you ask about her day, where does she work what she likes about it. Get her to talk about herself and you are good to go.

Everyone does. It's that fear of rejection and the unknown. I still get sweaty palms calling my guy sometimes.

that's normal...happens to everyone. i've gotten nervous b/f calling a guy i like for the first time. it will get easier. she will probably be nervous also. just be yourself and everything should be fine.

because its kinda odd and u have alot rushing through ur head u gota calm down *first time i called girl i liked her mom picked up and she says sorry shes grounded*

i dont no but u shouldnt be just get 2 no her and she might be a really good person!(dont just look @ her *** and decide if ur gonna ask 4 her #look @ her personality!and dont be an *** if u decide 2 ask 4 the #)
