am looking into starting my own business doing art for nurseries, but i want to do more. any ideas on what else to do?

Painted lampshades, quilted wall hangings, painted furniture - you could paint drawer handles and knobs with different themes and sell them seperately... some of those pictures with the babies names and animals are adorable. Wastebaskets designed like animals or polka dotted motifs...baskets are always useful and easy to decorate.

Check out HGTV online, they have always got great ideas. One thing I have always loved is the letters of the child's name each hung individually by a ribbon on the wall. You can paint and decorate them to match the room decor for little to nothing.

i would take a look around web sites like www.potterybarnkids.com and www.landofnod.com and replicate and put your own twist all the fabulously cute (and torturously expensive) items. then price them affordably, but at a price that will help you earn a profit. also, get in touch with some area interior designers. they can direct business to you.
