why do people wear glasses?

i kno cus they cant see right but why??wat are the causes??like if u use the computer alot u will need em or wat??

Apparently you cannot see well, because you seem to spell many words incorrectly. You might want to get that checked.

Some causes of poor vision:

Refractive error
Cataract
Glaucoma
Squint (strabismus)
Injury to the eye
Diseases of cornea
Diseases of retina and optic nerve
Inherited disorders
Tumor (Retinoblastoma)
Other eye abnormalities

Oh, I remember reading about this in my science book!!
Some people have elongated eyeballs, and when the lens of the eyes focus the images on the back of the eyeball, it cannot "hit" the right in the center at the back of the eyeball. Then we put on either concave or convex lens(i don't remember which for flatten eyeballs) to correctly point the light into the back of the eyeball.

Other people have shorter eyeballs so the light gets all blurry when it hits the back of the eye. we put on glasses to correct that too.
The shape of the eye also affects whether a person is nearsighted or farsighted too.

It just happens. Some people are genetically prone to macular degeneration. I started seeing poorly at twelve. I didn't realize it until I was 16 and my mom got my eyes checked. I was amazed that you were actually SUPPOSED to see leaves on the trees and not just a big blobby tree... My husband on the other hand has better than average vision and read things really far away. I guess we make a good pair :-)

Usually as people age they need glasses,around the ages of 40,unfortunately some children need glasses and they hate them.Its not from watching tv or being on the net its just one of those things that happen to people.

puberty staining your eyes staring at the sun to long and i dont think so i've only got 3 years to deal with these things yea after im finished with puberty i wont need them
