My daughter is going off to college soon - studying material science/paper science - and looking for scholarships. Any ideas?

Try going on websites like www.fastweb.com. They usually have a lot of scholarship opportunities. Also talk to your daughter's high school counselor or scholarship coordinator. They may know more than what is put out in public. (it is their job after all to provide that info).

First line in finding any scholarships will be to check out her school's counselor for ideas. Then check with the local community college for more. I think her High School counselor will be more in-tune with any possibilities with scholarship opportunities. If she knows or has a few colleges in mind, contact them directly, and seek scholarship opportunities there as well. There are literally hundreds of scholarship opportunities out there, you just have to spent some time and find them! Does she bowl? Does she play chess? These are just a few of the scholarship opportunities that she can apply for and obtain if you spend time the to research and find them. Good Luck!
