They just do. Have you seen a consultant about your migraines? One of my sons and one of my daughters suffer from chronic migraine; they are both on beta-blocker drugs in an effort to control the attacks. they have both had brain scans to rule out anything sinister; the problem seems to be that they are both tense and worrying types, and this is one of the triggers; in addition they both have food allergies which is another trigger. An attack can last three days or more; if you havent seen a specialist yet, try and do so; there are a lot of options out there.
Have you tried acupuncture yet? It has a good success rate in helping migraine sufferers.

Here is a migraine website. It will help you to understand migraines better.http://www.migraines.org/ I use to get migraines 4-5 times a week until I got started on a migraine prevention medication called Topamax. But they do last up to 72 hrs if you don't get on medicaiton to help them. But if you do look at that website it will inform you about migraines.

You need to see your neurologist and get treatment for them. There are many meds you can use to treat migraines and many that can be tried to help prevent migraines but only your neurologist can help you with this.

And its 3 days minimum! Just getting over an attack which has been 5 days - although if I get the vomiting as well, its often longer. Just takes time for everything to clear, I guess.

O, My! You poor thing. How can you stand the pain for that long. Those headaches are dreadful. Go see a Dr and get a prescription , the Dr will ask you about your diet (and stress) so start keeping a food diary.
